Hi there! I’m Heidi Milton. Also known as “Tidy Heidi” ?
I’m so glad you’ve stopped by to share my appreciation of organization!
I have had a zest for organizing for as long as I can remember. I was the friend that offered to come help when your mom said you couldn’t go out of the house until your room was clean. I was the babysitter that always left your home just a tiny bit tidier than I found it. Whether I was re-arranging my own toy closet, putting order to the hairbrush drawer at the local beauty shop that I went to with my mother, or occasionally helping my father organize all the trinkets and tools in his workshop, it seems I have always been drawn to opportunities to serve others and help renew and in some cases redefine their space in a way that would bring more peace and happiness to spend time in.
Though I didn’t realize it at the time, I first developed time management skills all through high school and college when I was constantly balancing a bundle of extra curricular activities around school work and part time jobs. My organizational skills were further developed in the professional work force following completing a B.A.degree in Mass Communications working at an event planning company, as a retail manager, and eventually an assistant teacher in an elementary classroom. My skills are always put to the test in my own home where I strive to keep our blended family happily organized. Though it would be a few years before I recognized that all these experiences were leading me to pursue a career as a Professional Organizer, I always knew I’d enjoy running my own business.
It is my goal to spend time each and every day reading, practicing and learning new and novel ideas to build on and improve my organizational skills and general know-how in order to serve a variety of organizational challenges and be prepared to offer multitudes of individual solutions. It is a sincere JOY for me to come alongside and provide practical aid to clients no matter how disorganized they feel or their space may reflect. I encourage all my clients to focus on the pursuit of progress and not perfection in their organizing endeavors. I would love the opportunity to help you as well!

Why Hire a Professional Organizer?
A Professional Organizer will help you feel less overwhelmed by the things and ‘stuff’ you deal with on a daily basis. Professional Organizers will be able to look at your individual organizational challenges and offer objective feedback, suggestions and support to overcome those challenges. These solutions will aid in lifting stress and the many dissatisfactions that burden your mind and spirit due to the clutter invading your life. In addition, you’ll free up more time and energy to focus on what is really important to you.
Should I purchase any supplies?
It’s a good idea to wait to purchase any organizational supplies until after we’ve completed the sorting and purging of your things. This will save you time and money because you’ll know exactly how much and what style/size of systems, containers, and shelving you’ll really need.
What areas do you work in?
Nurturing Order is based in Marietta, Georgia and serves clients in the greater metro Atlanta area. Long distance Virtual Consultations can also be accomplished by phone or video calls with provision of emailed photos by request and appointment.
How much time will it take to get my space organized?
It is my goal to help get your space organized as quickly and efficiently as possible, but every person will have different styles and challenges to consider. It will depend on what and how much you are organizing, and how quickly you are able to make decisions. After our initial consultation I will have a better sense of what we can realistically accomplish in a particular time frame.
Do I need a Professional Organizer?
If 2 or more of these statements below are true for you, a Professional Organizer will be of great help.
* I can’t seem to find things when I need them.
* I tend to spend extra money buying things I know I already have, but can’t find.
* I have piles of clutter and/or paper on several surfaces of my home.

Will you make me get rid of all my things?
You will make the final decision of what stays and goes in your space. My role will be to help in those decisions by asking questions about how much you really use and enjoy your things in addition to providing encouragement and support along the way. Working side-by-side, we’ll find a cure together for your unique clutter condition.
How will I maintain my space?
Being organized is largely keeping up with new habits. Adhering to any new habit takes time and dedication. It is my goal to educate and coach you about simple and easy solutions to help you set up systems that are personalized to your lifestyle so that those new habits are easier to maintain.
I also strive to follow up with my clients after a period of time to see how they are doing and assist in fine tuning any systems as needed.
